Martin Nieto
Martin was born in Los Angeles and grew up in Orange County. He attended the University of California, Berkeley where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications.
While attending the University of Arkansas School of Law, Martin served as a corporate counsel extern with global retail giant Wal-Mart at their corporate headquarters in Bentonville. Arkansas. He also gained practical experience serving clients as a certified student attorney in the School of Law's Transactional Clinic.
Prior to practicing Workers’ Compensation defense, Martin worked in Human Resources for one of Southern California's premier office furniture dealerships where he counseled managers regarding the intricacies of California’s labor and employment laws, conducted employee training, and managed the company’s contracts database. Along with being an attorney, Martin is also a certified human resource professional.
At Park|Guenthart, Martin defends claims with an acute focus on ensuring value to the client by preemptively pushing cases to resolution. His ability to critically and creatively think outside the box, paired with his methodical discovery process, make him an exceptional asset to both the firm and clients. Martin has appeared at WCAB’s throughout Southern California, deposed injured workers, successfully negotiated med-legal liens, and drafted settlement documents that safeguard minimum liability exposure.
In his spare time, Martin enjoys reading, going to concerts, and cheering on the Anaheim Ducks.
