Katie Liu
Katie Liu grew up in the Bay Area and received her Bachelor of Arts in Economics and French from the University of California, Los Angeles. After her undergraduate studies, Katie worked in banking and government and performed financial analysis.
Katie went on to receive her Juris Doctorate from University of San Francisco, School of Law. While in Law School, Katie served as the Articles Editor for the USF Maritime Journal and competed in the Thomas Tang Moot Court Competition. She also clerked for the Honorable Socrates Manukian of Santa Clara Superior Court drafting tentative lings on civil discovery matters.
Katie began her law practice in insurance defense in 2015. She gained experience in all aspects of litigation, including Superior Court appearances. She went on to represent employers, insurers and third-party administrators in all workers’ compensation proceedings, which she has continued to do since 2016.
Since joining Park|Guenthart, Katie has been an asset with her expertise in discovery. She is passionate about defending her clients and takes great pride in providing the most favorable outcomes possible. Her diverse background has allowed her to gain experience in many areas of civil law and a deep understanding of the challenges that employers face daily.
In her spare time, Katie enjoys spending time with her family, watching stand-up comedy, and hiking.
