Jeremy Rutledge
Jeremy P. Rutledge is a Senior Associate attorney in Workers’ Compensation Practice. Mr. Rutledge commenced his practice in Workers’ Compensation Defense in 2016, bringing with him a strong civil litigation background. Mr. Rutledge prides himself in his client-centric practice style in the defense of employers, insurers, and third-party adjusting administrators in all aspects of workers’ compensation claims resolution. He also has vast experience representing self-insured employers as well as employers who have public employees entitled to California Labor Code 4850 benefits.
While in law school, Mr. Rutledge worked as a full time legal assistant then paralegal for four years at a civil litigation firm that handled a broad spectrum of civil litigation, ranging from pharmaceutical mass tort litigation to trust and estate and elder abuse litigation. There, Mr. Rutledge gained invaluable experience in all aspects of civil litigation, including experience in lien subrogation and medical record review for his mass tort and personal injury clients.
After passing the California Bar, Mr. Rutledge continued to work in civil litigation in California state and federal courts, representing clients in trust and estate disputes, personal injury litigation, business and contract litigation, bankruptcy avoidance action defense, labor and employment disputes, and business and trust and estate planning. During his time at two prior civil litigation firms, Mr. Rutledge gained great experience fighting for his clients and settling hundreds of cases.
Mr. Rutledge then went on to work for a state-wide Workers' Compensation Defense firm for over six years, where he handled claims at most every WCAB throughout California. Now, his practice continues to be focused on bringing this vast litigation experience to his ongoing Workers’ Compensation Practice.
Mr. Rutledge works out of the Sacramento office and is a strong litigator who is committed to professional excellence in representing his clients’ best interests and bringing cases to swift, favorable resolution. Mr. Rutledge handles cases at WCAB Boards throughout Northern California.
